XShot 2.0 Camera Extender
The XShot 2.0 from XShot is a telescopic camera extender that allows you to take stable photographs of that most difficult of subjects to capture properly: Yourself.
The updated model of the company's eponymous XShot camera extender measures only 9" when collapsed – small enough to fit in any little day-trip bag – and extends telescopically to a maximum length of 37". Rather than smashing (most of) a face or two into the frame, you can now take roomy, flattering photos of yourself and a travel companion that actually capture the background.
The XShot 2.0 is something of a magic wand that you'll bring along to vacations and hiking/camping trips to capture yourself within the gorgeous scenery you were so excited to visit in the first place. No longer will you have to ask a stranger for help – but it'll still look like someone else took the photo! The XShot extender is also a game-changer for photography and video recording at concerts, graduations, and other standing-room-only events. At parties, you can easily get a shot of the entire room, rather than just the crush of people immediately in front of you.
The XShot 2.0 bears loads up to 1.25 lb, so it works with any point & shoot digital camera with a timer function and with very compact shoot & share camcorders such as those from Flip, Contour, and GoPro.
The XShot features a 1/4"-20 screw on top to attach to almost any camera. Just twist the thumbscrew to lock a camera in the desired position. A wrist lanyard is included to provide a line of defense in case your grip slips while you're shooting – an unlikely occurrence, given the grippy material on the shaft of the extender.
