For capturing audio, the ULW-96 Camera-Mountable UHF Wireless System by Polsen is a broadcast-quality camera-mountable UHF wireless system that can be used for applications such as EFP (electronic field production), ENG (electronic news gathering), corporate videos, rehearsals, and more. The ULW-96 is a frequency-agile system with 96 selectable channels. Up to eight systems can be used simultaneously in the same location. To ensure quiet and reliable operation, the internal electronic components are IECQ-certified to meet international standards.
The ULW-96 is built with a line-level input that enables devices like an audio mixer to be transmitted to the receiver. It features a headphone output with level control that allows real-time monitoring of transmissions at comfortable volumes. The 20 mW radio frequency (RF) output level enables an operating range of more than 250' with relatively low intermodulation potential. The system includes the easy to conceal PL-5 mini lavalier microphone to accurately capture speech with a clear and natural sound.
In addition, the ULW-96 transmitter and receiver are enclosed in heavy-duty metal, built rugged, and are designed to provide protection from bumps and falls for the most rigorous field use. The frequency select buttons provide a secure lock to avoid accidental channel changes during performances.
