For getting up-close and personal with your Micro Four Thirds Panasonic camera, you can't do better than this Lumix G Vario 100-300mm F/4.0-5.6 OIS Lens. A 35mm equivalent 200-600mm range makes sports action, wildlife, and any other kind of photography where you can't get too close to your subject, a breeze. Its compact design, contrast AF system support, and MEGA O.I.S. image stabilization to prevent blurry photos from shaky hands (very common with long telephoto lenses) all make this a must-have if you want to take pictures from afar. The multi-coating and ED glass used in the lens minimize ghosting or flare from any stray light.

Reviews Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm F/4.0-5.6 OIS Lens (Import)

Large for a MFT lens but reasonably light. Ligher than the 14-140. Handles well although the zoom and focus are not up to Canon L standards. OIS is not as good as Canon IS or other MFT OIS. It works reasonablly well but a bit disappointing given the long apparent focal length. Sharpness is comparable to decent Canon L glass in the center but sharpness dimishes at the edges but not objectionally so. Sharpness is much better than Panasonic 14-140 from 100 to 140 mm. Better than 45-200 from 100-200mm. Good value if you need this much telephoto but the lack of overlap with 14-42 and too much overlap with 14-140 are drawbacks. MFT is in need of some good lenses. This lens fills the long end and is a welcome addition.
