Great build quality even though it's a third party merchandise. It comes with an adapter that has a thread for holding lens filter, and the lens hood itself. You can use it with or without the lens hood. Both the adapter and lens hood are easy to install & remove, and both felt sturdy. The design of the lens hood means that it does block a portion of the view if you primarily uses OVF, but if you prefer using the EVF mode, then this shouldn't be a problem.
