This Underwater Housing from Ikelite is a waterproof enclosure enabling you to shoot beneath the surface with your Canon PowerShot ELPH 340 HS Digital Camera, a.k.a. the IXUS 265 HS. It has a depth rating of 200'. Large, ergonomic mechanical controls, including knurled knobs and push-buttons, provide access to all important camera functions.

Built for durability, the housing is designed, constructed, and tested in the USA. It's manufactured from corrosion-resistant polycarbonate, which is clear to allow you to monitor the o-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. The 3.0" diameter glass lens port accepts external wide-angle and macro add-on lenses for an increased field of view or extreme close-up shots with better clarity and detail, respectively. You can also add optional color-correction filters to restore colors that get absorbed by the water.

Expand your system by adding an optional AF35 AutoFlash strobe, which features a flex arm and mounts onto the grip handle of an optional tray. This external strobe is triggered as a wireless slave by the firing of the camera's built-in flash and replicates TTL exposure. The housing is also equipped with two ports for Ikelite, Sea & Sea, or Olympus-type fiber optic cables. It comes bundled with a diffuser to soften the light of the camera's built-in flash and a deflector to redirect it towards an external strobe.

Depth Rating
Can be safely used at a maximum depth of 200'. Simply close the side latch and see the o-ring form a solid black watertight seal.
Controls and Handling
Large, ergonomic mechanical controls, including knurled knobs and push-buttons, provide access to all important camera functions. Housing has nearly neutral buoyancy in fresh water for easy handling.
Construction Details
Built for durability, the housing is designed, constructed, and tested in the USA. It's manufactured from corrosion-resistant polycarbonate, which is clear to allow you to monitor the o-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. Drop-in camera loading allows for quick and easy setup.
Lens Port
The 3.0" diameter glass lens port with 67mm threads accepts external wide-angle and macro add-on lenses for an increased field of view or extreme close-up shots with better clarity and detail, respectively. The recommended W30 Wide Angle Lens can be removed and replaced while underwater. It provides 0.59x magnification. Moderate vignetting will be present when using an external wide-angle lens. This can be eliminated by zooming in slightly, or cropping the photo in post-production. You can also add optional color-correction filters to restore colors that get absorbed by the water. The port accepts #6441.41 filter for blue water and #6441.81 filter for green water.
Flash Use
Expand your system by adding an optional AF35 AutoFlash strobe, which features a flex arm and mounts onto the grip handle of an optional tray. This external strobe is triggered as a wireless slave by the firing of the camera's built-in flash and replicates TTL exposure. The housing is also equipped with two ports for Ikelite, Sea & Sea, or Olympus-type fiber optic cables. It comes bundled with a diffuser to soften the light of the camera's built-in flash and a deflector to redirect it towards an external strobe. Since a camera's built-in flash is generally only effective within a few feet from your subject, the use of a more powerful external flash is highly recommended. It also gives you the advantages of reduced backscatter, glare and hard shadows.
Mounting
Configured with a 12-24 thread with 3" spacing for mounting optional tray and handle(s), which provide improved balance and attachment points for lighting.
Additional Recommended Optional Accessories
The Vega Video + Photo Light provides a maximum output of up to 2200 lumens at a 65° beam angle and a daylight-balanced color temperature of 5700K. It offers a run time of 45-180 min. The Gamma Waterproof Flashlight outputs 220 lumens in a concentrated 10° beam with a daylight-balanced 6500K color temperature. It can run for over 10 hr.
