Its a lithium-ion battery rated at 1720mAh (ie. the same mAh rating as the standard HERO10/9 battery).
It’s designed especially cold-weather performance; traditional lithium batteries perform poorly in very cold and very warm conditions. That’s not a GoPro thing–that’s something intrinsic to lithium batteries.
