Fantasea has announced a powerful new addition to its Radiant series of video lights with a maximum output of 3,000 lumens. Featuring a built-in YS connector, the Radiant 3000F can be integrated into any underwater rig.
The Radiant 3000F offers a variety of modes, including a flood mode (100-degree beam) and a spot mode (15-degree beam), a red light, UV/blue light, and two flashing modes for signaling or emergency purposes. The Radiant 3000F uses a new COB (chip-on-board) LED array for the main flood light, one X-PL LED for the spot light, three LEDs for the red light, and four LEDs for the UV/blue light. The burn time in flood mode at full power is 50 minutes. The light is depth-rated to 330 feet.
Fantasea has also unveiled two universal LED strobe triggers as well as two fiber-optic cables for connecting strobes to your housing. The FA-1 strobe trigger attaches to any camera with a hot-shoe connection, allowing rapid firing of your strobes without the need to use your camera’s pop-up flash. The device is compact enough to be placed in various housings that have a little extra space inside. The FA-2 strobe trigger is similar, but is specifically designed for Fantasea housings, although it also works with housings by other manufacturers. The two fiber optic cables are for connecting either a single or dual strobes.
