The system consists of a single Com-Center wireless interface module which supports up to 8 headsets, and 7 Ultralite CS headsets with 7 ComPAK beltpacks. The system provides reliable wireless, full-duplex communication for up to 8 users at up to 400 yards. The Ultralite headsets are form fitting for maximum comfort during long-term usage, and the ComPAK beltpacks feature volume control and battery compartment.

The Ultralite CS headset from Eartec is a comfortable single ear headset designed for wireless communication in production, theater applications, and other staffed industries where mobile, wireless communication is necessary. The dual braced headband is form fitting and designed to provide long lasting comfort. The microphone is fixed onto a flexible gooseneck and swivel arm for easy positioning. The single-sided cable helps to minimize snags and tangles for comfortable all-day wearing. The cable features a 1/8" (3.5mm) mini connection for use with ComPAK beltpacks.

Allowing you to create a wireless network of 8 users who can all communicate simultaneously with no delay or voice activation, ideal for applications where teams need full use of their hands. You can even split users into 2 groups of 4 people, or bring everyone together in conference mode.

The Com-Center connects wirelessly to headsets at distances of up to 400 yards in any direction, allowing 2 headsets to be up to 800 yards apart while still enjoying full communication capabilities. The Com-Center is self tuning, so no remote antenna is needed. The base station has a rechargeable NiMH battery that provides up to 6 hours of operation and can be changed in seconds. An AC wall plug and a battery sled for disposable AA batteries are also provided to give you additional powering options.

The base station and other COMSTAR components work in the 1900MHz frequency band, which is reserved by the FCC for "PCS" voice communication, so no license is required. The system is certified for use in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
