I bought this cheap mic to mount on a gopro for my wife as a simple point and shoot for vlogging. Previously she'd used the Rode Micro (and the Video Pro) so with this being so cheap it was a bit of a punt. I'd done my research, however, and this does exactly what I was expecting. A quick comparison between the Hero 7 internal mic vs the Boya was significant. No rumbling or ambient lower frequencies that the internal mic used to pick up. For vlogging the directional shotgun is preferable to the special stereo mic of the gopro. It's well constructed, the mount is sturdy and it's small enough that it can stay permanently mounted on the gopro cage and thrown into a bag. I found cheaper on Shopee but also noted complaints of fake mics so I stuck with ShaShinKi. At this price point the Boya mic is a steal. Love it.
