Sporting four quality Xenyx mic preamps and a plethora of routing options and connectivity, the X1204USB from Behringer is a versatile 12-input analog mixer with 2x2 USB audio support and 24-bit multi-FX built in. Ideal for burgeoning musicians and engineers, the X1204USB provides studio quality in a compact and low-cost package.

Each mono channel features British-style 3-band EQ, mute, low cut, solo, and PFL selection as well as dedicated aux send and FX return controls. You also get two sub groups with separate outputs, control room/headphone outputs with a multi-input source matrix, two stereo aux returns with flexible routing, and more. All rotary knobs are sealed and each channel sports 60mm logarithmic-taper faders for smooth control. With an internal switching universal power supply, you get noise-free audio with superior transient response, low power consumption, and worry-free support for any power input. The Xenyx X1204USB includes rack ears for optional rack mounting.

Quality Xenyx Preamps

All Xenyx mixers have one thing in common—great-sounding, high headroom Xenyx mic preamps. Xenyx preamps offer an impressive 130 dB of dynamic range, with a bandwidth that extends from below 10 Hz to well above 200 kHz. Armed with these high-performance mic preamps, Xenyx mixers provide transparent, crystal-clear performance.

One-Knob Compression

Applying compression is a delicate art that many novice, and even intermediate, sound techs find challenging. Behringer's one-knob compression is available on all mono channels and is easy to operate, even for entry-level users.

The 3-band channel EQ on Xenyx mixers is based on that very same circuitry, allowing you to imbue signals with incredible warmth and detailed musical character. Even when applied generously, these equalizers exhibit sweet forgiveness and superb audio quality.

With this one knob, you can easily dial in the perfect amount of compression for instruments and vocals, creating powerful mixes with punch and clarity. This is indeed a rare feature for products in this class, but standard on the Xenyx X1204USB mixer.

Digital Multi-FX Processor

Equipped with studio-grade 24-bit Multi-FX processor, the X1204USB gives you 16 powerful digital effect presets such as delay, chorus, and reverb. Time-based functions can be entered manually by pressing the Tap button in tempo with the music.

Apply them to any channel as well as to the monitors and main output. Of course, if you have treasured outboard gear you’ve grown attached to, the X1204USB lets you integrate them into the mix, bypassing the built-in FX processor.

Integrated USB Audio Interface

Thanks to the built-in, bidirectional stereo USB audio interface, you can connect your X1204USB directly to your PC or macOS computer via a single USB-B cable. Now any signal source you connect to the mixer can be recorded directly to your hard drive.
