My Two Doors Rides – Peugeot RCZ & Volvo 1800S

When I was working in UTM, driving to work was one of my favorite moment. Though just a short 10 mins distance, but the joy inside my first 2 doors sports car was indescribable. With the blessings from my wife, I made a bold but calculated move of buying this car as my personal ride at the age of 35, opting for a 9 years bank loan and enjoying my ride while I was still “young”. That was back in 2012.

In 2021, I bought my 2nd personal car. This time it is a timeless classic. Fall in love into classic car during the lock down COVID time. Bump into a classic Mercedes video in Facebook, and saw this very James Bond sports car albeit white colour one just outside house. Did lots of research, day and night dream, found a local collector has one that he was keeping. Visited him several times, with the blessings from my wife again, I bought this one in Sept 2021. This is a 1965 Volvo 1800S.

Today, I am still keeping both cars. They gave faults and problems from time to time, but I enjoy every moment when I sit in either one. I no longer work in UTM, and having my current workplace even closer, I still enjoy the 5 mins drive every time I go to work. The excitement of going to work daily, and the excitement of finishing work and drive back home are man’s simple joy.
