Every year, I waited for Black Friday sales with 15% discount to improve my Volvo 1800S. This year, I decided to replace some of the poor upholstery. I did the re-upholstery when I first bought the car, but the workmanship and quality was not satisfying. Less than 3 years, some parts are cracking, and I opted for the best Nappa leather that time.
Instead of finding another shop to do the upholstery locally, I decided to shop directly from overseas. Quality material and workmanship, and I love the silver chrome lining on the door cards.
Initially I planned to just change the door cards, but later I decided to do some rear parts as well, as I noticed some ugly cracks there.
These are the parts that I ordered.
The underdash left and right front parts, I didn’t order the replacement as they are not so obvious and mine seems to be in OK condition.
A pair would cost me US$123.17, which is still quite a sum, so better save it for next round.
Here’s the total list that I bought. Not forgetting the front screen rubber seal, as I suspect the front windscreen leaking is due to the aging rubber seal.
There are still many improvement that can be done, but that shall be Black Friday 2025 then. One at a time…
