Clocking at slightly over 100,000km recently, and I was a bit worried on the left over brake pad of our Toyota Alphard 2018 model that we bought in 2020.
The original brake pad was new from 2018, and I went to the nearby workshop to check the condition a month ago, the mechanic told me there are still around 30% left. So I dragged till this week only find time to go and change the 4pcs brake pads.
I bought the original Toyota Brake pads from a nearby car spare parts shop
- Front brake pad (pair) = RM345
- Rear brake pad (pair) = RM245
Went to my usual mechanic (Ling KC), and paid RM80 for installation labour charge. Quite an intensive work and need to have the right tools. Took around 1 hour for all 4pcs.
Comparing the new pad vs old pad, I think leftover of 30% is quite accurate, but I think it is time to change.
Good for another 100,000km to go.
