Jaguar MK2 Fuel Tank System

While trying to start the engine of the Jag, my mechanic pure some petrol into the fuel tank. I remembered the fuel cap was missing the key and locked, and he told me that the ignition key is the same to open up the lock. How silly I was.

After fueling the tank, no petrol is reaching the engine. He found out that the fuel pump is missing, and the fuel tank is very rusty.

So he removed the fuel tank and took it down for cleaning. I bought some rust cleaner, rust converter and spray paint for him to refurbish the fuel tank.

After rust converter and black paint.

Fuel sender was broken too, so I ordered a new one together with a fuel pump and some hoses.

Waiting for some parts to arrive.
