First saw the MGA in Facebook marketplace, when I was checking out a MGB that was posted by the same owner. Weirdly, when I search MGA, his ads does not appear. I happened to check his other listing when I saw his MGB ads.
I have a crush on MGA, love the curves and shape of the body. First saw a MGA coupe few years ago posted by the famous Akash Classic Malaysia Facebook live video. It was sold before he even advertised it. Was sold at over RM100k. Condition unknown. That was the first time I saw the MGA albeit in coupe form.
Then I saw another MGA by Akash as well, but this time it was his own collection. A red colour MGA. Not for sale according to him.
Below are the photos I saved from mudah.my.

The MGA is a 1959 model, with updated 1600cc engine, twin rear lamps, and a luggage rack.
Very nice restored condition, and lovely milky white colour. Everythings tick the box of an MGA that I want, but not exactly cheap at RM175k.
I have never own an open top car before, not sure how practical it is. Even my current Volvo P1800 is already hard to upkeep with a roof top, I can’t imagine an open top car that will get dirty and dusty in no time!
I contacted the seller, Mr Ganes, and he sent me a very nice video of the car in a detailing shop. He said detailing was done a month ago, and he has owned the car for around 3 years.
Another set of photos from the seller posted in FB. Mudah site quality is higher.

I didn’t get this car, kinda missed it. The seller sold it within a month of advertising, which means there are still buyer and market for the MGA at RM175k. Not exactly cheap for a MG, but converting the price from UK market, it seems about right for a restored unit.
Missing it…
