The Moto Lita steering wheel of my Volvo P1800 was dull and scratchy. I thought of giving it some polishing, to make it shines again. Tried steel wool last time, and it was worse.
I use Autosol metal polish on my front steel bumper few weeks ago, and the result was amazing! So I thought I should use the same Autosol on the steering wheel.
Saturday afternoon was a bit free, so I decided to do some cleaning on it. Photos below are before polishing.
It only took a short time to polish and wipe off the metal surface, and the steering wheel becomes shiny! Instructions of the Autosol said you polished in circular motion till the cloth shows black stains.
The Moto-Lita engraving was not so obvious before cleaning, and after polishing it looks much better. Really happy with the performance of Autosol and the steering wheel looks much better matching the shiny chromes in the car!
On Sunday morning, I decided to polish some other parts of the car using Autosol. The side mirrors were dull, so it is time to make they shine again! I didn’t spend much time polishing, but I can see the difference before and after already. Will redo some polishing part the coming weekends.
