After more than a decade, the bonnet dampers of my Peugeot RCZ have finally given up. They can’t hold the bonnet firm enough, and will fall down from time to time. This is dangerous for me and my mechanic when we are working on the car.

Bought an aftermarket dampers (1 pair) for RM80. Replacement is super easy. Just use a test pen to lift up the U clip the both ends of the damper, then it can be pulled out from the car. Though NOT original, but at RM80 per pair, I am really happy with the purchase and DIY job.

Replacement job done within 10 mins. Very firm and safe now.
