Bought a new sender unit for my old car few months ago. Asked a workshop to help me drill the tank to fit the sender unit. My mistake. I should have just drill the sender unit instead. The fuel tank was a remake unit from stainless steel, so it was really hard and not an easy drill work.
The mechanic has tried seal the sender a few times. From bigger thread screws to finder thread screws. He even used Loctite to seal the thread of the screws, which I think was a bad idea as Loctite is not resistance to petrol (unless a specific one, but I doubt he knows which).
The leak was quite mind bothering as fuel even leaked from the bottom drain plug.
Anyhow, petrol leaks from the sender edges and screws. Sent the car back to fixing few times, still can’t be solved completely. Petrol still sip out from the screws. Did some research and found this HYLOMAR glue, said to be petrol resistance. Found the product in Shopee via google search. Cost me around RM70.
I gave the Hylomar blue to my mechanic, told him to help me sealed the drain plug and screws with this sealant. The bottom drain plug was sealed successfully, while the screws were still leaking.

Instead of resending my car back to him again, I decided to DIY this time.
I added a fibre washer to each of the screws, put the HYLOMAR blue to each of the screw. Tighten each screw more securely (some were quite loose).

I covered the wire with some yellow cover too, hope to use black but I don’t have the correct size for black.
Let’s hope this time the sender got sealed nicely. Will know in the next refueling.
