Replacing the ear pads of Sony WH-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

I bought my Sony WH-1000XM3 wireless headphones in Dec 2019 at RM919. Not cheap for a headphone, but as I wanted to try the noise canceling feature, especially when traveling on board of an airplane.

The headphone has been taken over by my daughter. She used it almost daily, after she was having an ear infection due to prolong using of her Apple Airpods Pro.

The earpads of the Sony headphone has deteriorated, and giving out flakes recently. Common for headphone, and I have the similar problem with my Sennheiser HD800 after several of using.

Did some search online and found this Cooling Gel version of replacement ear pad from misodiko brand from Lazada. Paid RM64.90 for it.

Removing the original pad required some forces. Installing was easier, just need to make sure you pressed and clicked all the catches into the headphone.

The new pad was thicker and software. Cooling effect? Maybe, definitely not significant enough to wow. I chose this over the fabric type for hygiene purposes.

Overall I am pleased with the purchase and replacement pads. Recommended.
