Volvo P1800 Engine Number & Location?

I have never verify or check the actual engine number of my Volvo. After the BMW incident, I think it is important to check and see the engine number one self to be safe.

So, today I went to check out the engine number stamping of my Volvo. The stamping is located right beneath the spark plugs of the engine.

In my case, the number is 7582. Matched with the information in the vehicle owner’s certificate. It also matched with the info given by Volvo Car Malaysia customer service. This means that my Volvo P1800 is having a matching number engine. Very original.
