I pumped fuel to my Volvo P1800 twice, and I was quite frustrated by how the fuel lid was designed. I have to hold the lid by hand to prevent it from falling down, and I don’t want it to hit the fuel pump as well. At the same time, I don’t want to leave my keys on the lid scratching the lid.
Then one day, I read in FB group that there should be a spring on the lid to keep it opens after unlock the key. Mine is missing the spring, no wonder it won’t keep open.
This is how it should look like.
Need to find a torsion spring for mine.
