My Volvo P1800 Reupholster Done

Got a call from the workshop today that my car reupholster is done. Super excited but at the same time anxious as worrying that the outcome is not as satisfiying.

This is the final outcome of the car.

Not perfect, but I would give it a 8.5 out of 10. Price wise, it is reasonable cheap at RM2800. Most workshop would have charge more than RM3k-5k for the work and material. The workshop told me this is nappa leather.

Napa leather is a leather noted for its soft feel. It is a generic term in the leather field and has no distinct test for characterization. Among other uses, napa leather is often used in leather products such as furniture, clothing, handbags, and shoes.

From the above photo, you can see the chrome handbrake next to the seat. Previous own has wrapped the handbrake with leather cover, but I specifically old the workshop to remove that and leave it naked. The chrome is beautiful!

Below is the side by side comparison of NEW vs OLD.

Comparing to the old leather, they are still red colour, but mine seems brighter, maybe because it is new.

Overall, I am happy with the outcome, and I accepted that there is never a perfect work.
