My Volvo P1800 History (First Owned by Y.A.M. Tengku Shahruddin Shah)

These are the photos that I got from the previous owner. A bit of history of my Volvo P1800.

The previous owner got it from an insurance agent friend that he knew for years. The car has been kept in his garage for many years without driving. It comes with the original BQ10 plate number from the first owner, which is the RAJA MUDA of Selangor. I read somewhere that in the early days, only Royals or the super rich can afford Volvo.

The early birth cert of the car shows the details of the car, with plate number BQ10 and owned by YAM Tengku Shahruddin Shah. This is a piece of nice history of the car, owned by the Selangor Royal.

Too bad I can’t keep the BQ10 plate number for the car, as the owner wanted big money for the plate (over RM100k), which I can’t afford. So, I got a new plate number for it, which is SYP1800, with the meaning of SAYA P1800 (I am P1800).

I am still happy with the new plate, but sad as it is missing a bit of history now. Still, a very happy and proud owner of this marvelous car in Malaysia!
