Long time didn’t buy new shoes…and my last pair of sports shoes is the Adidas running shoes. It still serves me well, but not so suitable for hiking usage, as the base is quite soft and slippery.
Thinking of going hiking (short one) with my wife, need to pickup another exercise to keep the fat burning. Went for a short trip 2 weeks ago with my Adidas for an hour walk.
Asked my friend who is an avid hiker for more than 20 years, and he recommended Salomon and Timberland. Not much choice in my area, so I went to a Timberland store and there are just one model for hiking with two colour options available. Black or Grey. I chose the more colourful one.
By hiking it means the bottom rubber of the shoes should have good grip.
Black is kinda cool, but I prefer to have a brighter colour for a more cheerful day.
My normal shoe size is UK 9, but my friend recommended me to get half or a size larger. I tried UK 9 and it is quite tight. So this should not be my size. I then tested UK 9.5, fit nicely with my stocking, but since my friend recommended half size larger, so I go for UK 10. I can still put one finger into the rear part of the shoe after wearing, but it does feels more comfortable than UK 9.
The shoes come in a nice Timberland presentation box, huge one.
The shoes has good details to it. A nice Timberland logo and TIMBERDRY technology and can keep the feet dry all the time.
Comfy to wear, and the design looks good to my eyes.
I tried it for a while, and decided to pay the bill.
Without discount this is RM669, and there is a promo by Timberland by purchasing a 2nd item and you can get 22% discount (except stocking). So I got one of the cheapest t-shirt and the final bill came down to slightly below RM610.
