The Sealife DC1400 Underwater Digital Camera Maxx Duo Set is a beneath-the-surface photography kit, consisting of a DC1400 Underwater Digital Camera, an SL975 Fisheye Wide Angle Lens, an SL961 Digital Pro Flash with SL9618 diffuser, an SL980 3-in-1 Photo/Video Light, an SL96208 Flash link optical cable, and a Delkin 16GB SDHC Memory Card Pro Series Class 10. The DC1400 is a true amphibian of a camera, working both on-land and beneath the surface. The camera comes inside a rubber overmolded polycarbonate waterproof housing, from which it can be removed for use on-land. Rubber armored and shock-resistant for rough handling and tough environments, the DC1400 has an impressive depth rating of 200' (60 m). O-ring lubrication is not required. The camera features a 14 megapixel CCD sensor equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a technology that reduces camera shake caused by hand movement. Select from 6 underwater color modes that give you sharp, colorful photos and HD video under any conditions. There are even 4 built-in digital color correction filters, which help restore colors that tend to get lost beneath the surface.

The 26 mm wide angle lens lets you get closer to your subject and still fit everything in-frame. Enjoy Super Macro Auto focus from 1.0" (2.5 cm) to infinity. You get a grand total of 25x zoom, with 5x optical and 5x digital. The large 3.0" (7.6 cm) LCD screen allows for easy on-camera viewing.

You'll find the controls convenient and easy to use: 5 widespread "piano key" style controls are easily accessible underwater with or without gloves. A large shutter button is also present, as is a fingertip-control lever enabling you to scroll through menus or zoom in and out without releasing your grip from the camera. The simple on screen guide takes the guess work out of setting up your camera. Let the DC1400 do the heavy lifting for you, so all you have to focus on is getting that great shot.

Record continuous High Definition video with sound. Take advantage of Manual shutter and aperture control in Ext Flash mode. Manual White Balance control is available via a short-cut key for fast and easy setting. In Spy mode, the camera automatically shoots continuous pictures at set time intervals. Choose from 27 Land Scene modes, which easily pre-set the camera with the optimal settings for the given scene.

The camera runs on a rechargeable lithium battery.

The bundled Fisheye Wide-Angle Lens is a dome-shaped, super wide-angle underwater conversion lens. It allows you to get very close to your subject while still fitting a substantial amount of the background in the frame. It has a distortion effect that can enlarge subjects close to it and stretch the scene out to the edges of the lens. It also has a depth rating of 200' (60 m).

The fisheye increases your field of view by 80%. Consider that the lens of the DC1400 already has a wide-angle 26mm focal length, and you'll realize the impact this fisheye can have on the perspective you're able to capture in your shot. The lens has a 16mm effective focal length when used on the DC1400, and is equipped with fully multi-coated precision optics for maximum light transmission. It can easily be attached and removed underwater, and works well above-the-surface, too.

The included Digital Pro Flash (SL961), like the camera, has a depth rating of 200' (60 m). It will be a great asset to you in restoring color fidelity and vibrancy to your underwater images. Water absorbs the red and yellow color spectrum, turning these hues to muted shades of blue and grey. Restore rich, natural color to your photos with the Digital Pro Flash. It will also reduce backscatter (reflection), for less glare and greater clarity.

An SL9618 diffuser for the Digital Pro Flash, also included, softens the light of the flash and prevents hotspots and washed-out images. It brings out richer colors and improved contrast. When not in use, it easily flips out of the way.

The flash features an Auto mode, which automatically adjusts flash brightness for optimal image exposure. Its variable power adjustment enables you to manually fine-tune flash brightness to achieve the desired effect and exposure. Choose from 5 pre-flash cancellation settings. The effective underwater range of the flash is 2-8' (0.6-2.4 m). A flash link optical cable connection is included. The flash's flexible rubber arm allows for easy aiming and a secure grip. The SL961 produces roughly 100 flashes with 4 AA batteries (not included).

Also included is the 3-in-1 Photo/Video Light (SL980) is a powerful 500-lumen LED light configured with three 3W Cree XP-G R5 LEDs. With a color temperature of 6500K, it adds depth and color balance to both photographs and videos, and features a soft 70-degree beam angle that evenly illuminates your subject with no hot spots. The effective range is up to 3' (0.91 m) for video and up to 2' (0.6 m) for photo. The light has a depth rating of 300' (91.4 m). Its convenient design includes easy one-button control and a quick-release detachable head, as well as a flexible rubber arm for aiming and a universal mounting base.

Additionally, the kit comes with a Delkin 16GB SDHC Memory Card Pro Series Class 10. This card offers 16GB of data storage capacity, with read speeds up to 24MB/s and write speeds up to 17MB/s--exceeding the Class 10 minimum of 10MB/s. It's equipped with a write-protection scheme preventing accidental overwriting or loss of data. The card is also approved for use in extreme temperatures from -13 to 158° F (-25 to 70° C).

For transporting your gear, the SL949 Deluxe Hard Travel Case is included, too. Virtually unbreakable, watertight and dustproof, it's also resistant to chemicals and corrosion. Constructed from a durable, structural copolymer, the case features custom die-cut, high-density foam and a purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure.
