The NT1 Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone Kit with SMR Shockmount from Rode is a large diaphragm condenser and features Rode's HF6 capsule as well as an internal shockmount based on Rycote's Lyre technology for protection against vibration. The NT1's circuitry is assembled in Australia by Rode engineers and boasts a 4.5dBA level of self-noise for quiet operation.

The included SMR shockmount also has a dual-Lyre suspension to reduce vibrations and is constructed from a reinforced polymer to evenly distribute vibrations to increase the effectiveness of the Lyre. The integrated pop shield is made of medical-grade stainless steel and has a silicon damper between the outer panels for reduced resonance.

Internal Shockmount
Beneath the body of the NT1 you will find the internal capsule suspension, which employs patented Lyre technology from Rycote. This internal shockmount isolates the HF6 capsule on the X, Y and Z axes, providing protection against vibration
Electronics
The circuitry of the NT1 is assembled and tested using high-precision machinery operated by the engineers in Rode's Australian factory. This meticulous manufacturing process has resulted in the NT1 having only 4.5 dBA of self-noise
Aluminum Body
The aluminum body of the NT1 is first nickel plated for corrosion resistance, before being coated in a durable ceramic firearm coating using electrostatic application techniques to ensure even coverage. The coating is then baked onto the surface, before having the graphic components laser etched, resulting in a hard wearing finish that is resistant to scratches or marks
SMR External Shockmount with Dual Lyre System
The dual-Lyre suspension system of the SMR was developed by Rode's engineers to improve the overall effectiveness of the shock mount. The smaller inner Lyre acts as a tension element, to maintain each Lyre in its neutral position where it is most efficient at cancelling vibration
The SMR pop shield is manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel. It is first chemically etched, shaped and welded before receiving a PVD base coat, followed by an electrostatically charged paint coating. Embedded between the outer panels is a silicon damper, further minimizing any resonance that could affect your sound
Its clamping system utilizes a greater surface area for increased friction and weight handling, without the need for over-tightening of the locking thread. With the load distributed over a greater surface area, the clamping system is immune to the wear and tear of repeated use

I bought this microphone from Shashinki and thanks! The sound quality is the best than other microphones I have tried. For me, it seems to be the quietest microphone ever and it looks stylish and cool. The shockmount and the metal pop shield really isolates the microphone from vibrations and pop-sound. The Nt1 is far better than the Nt1-a as it is not as bright as the Nt1-a and gives me smooth, warm vocals. Everything seems well for the Nt1. Pros: Perfect and warm vocals and instruments, Good shockmount and metal pop filter, Scratch-resistant surface. Cons: Non I give it 5 out of 5.
