The Olympus VR-310 Digital Camera (Silver) from Olympus is a point and shoot digital camera with a difference. The difference is the VR-310 has a 10x zoom lens. This will help you to zoom in on more distant subjects. This type of digital camera is proving to be very popular owing to the combination of that extra lens power coupled to a compact body size. Although not strictly an ultra compact digital camera this type of digital camera is still small enough to slip into a good sized pocket.

The VR-310 is not packed with features. The upside of this is that it helps to make the camera relatively straightforward. You also avoid paying for features that you may never use. This type of camera works well for you if all you want is something simple, but with the extra zoom power.

The zoom lens also has wide angle capabilities. This means that when you zoom the lens all the way out you are able to squeeze wide scenes into your shots.

The VR-310 has a metal body and is available in purple, silver, black and red. It can shoot High Definition movies and has a good sized, 3 inch LCD screen for composing photos and accessing the menu system.
