A great bang-for-the-buck binocular, the Nikon 16x50 Action VII Binocular is the highest-magnification, largest-objective entry in Nikon's value-driven porro prism lineup. It features an extremely high magnification, bold view that's bright and characterized by the subjects being cast against extremely blurred background features. This is a sensible hunting or astronomy option when one cannot approach their subjects and where a bigger binocular is acceptable.
The 16x50 Action VII's highly-refractive prisms, combined with the aspherical eyepiece design and 16x magnification, yield a 4.1° true field of view with a wide ~66° apparent field as well. The Action VII has multicoated objectives, protective rubber armor, and conventional peel-down style rubber eyecups. Since it is such a high magnification model, Nikon has sensibly included a binocular tripod adapter with the package.
