The Gitzo GS5360AS Dovetail Quick Release Adapter can be fitted onto most Gitzo heads (current exception being the G1177M) and replaces the standard adapter or disk. It can also be used with most other brand ballheads or pan/tilt heads that don't feature a built-in quick release.
The GS5360AS opens particularly wide, making it capable of accepting Gitzo's "B" and "C" type plates, as well as any of the multitude of Arca-type plates available from many other manufacturers, such as Acratech, Arca-Swiss, FLM, Foba, Novoflex, NPC, Studioball and Wimberley, etc.
