The Gitzo GS5160CDT Arca Swiss Plate to Gitzo Adapter makes it possible to use a plate featuring the popular Arca Swiss style fitting with the newer Gitzo "safety" quick release system (Gitzo's standard ballheads and fluid heads; e.g. G1178M, etc.). The Arca-type plate slips in from the side of the adapter plate, and the combined unit then gets clamped down by the Gitzo double quick release safety system.

Made from a solid piece of high quality aluminum, this adapter comes finished with hard black anodization. In addition, the adapter is treated with Gitzo's PTFE treatment, which makes it smooth and prevents scratching of the plates.

Note! Although this adapter is meant to accept Arca-type plates, according to our tests Novoflex brand plates fit best. Please note that not all manufacturers follow exactelly the same measurments for Arca-type plates.
