At the heart of the Fujifilm FinePix T200 digital camera sits a 16 megapixel CCD image sensor, which allows capture of not only high-resolution still images, but also of high-definition 720p video at 30 frames per second. The Fuji T200 places its sensor behind a FUJINON-branded 10x optical zoom lens, with actual focal lengths ranging from 5 to 50mm. This equates to the same range as a 35mm camera with a 28mm - 280mm lens, a useful wide angle to a moderate telephoto Maximum aperture ranges from f/3.4 at wide angle to f/5.6 at telephoto. Given the powerful telephoto reach, mechanical image stabilization is obviously a necessity to fight blur from camera shake, and the Fuji FinePix T200 includes sensor shift stabilization.

The Fuji FinePix T200 lacks any form of optical or electronic viewfinder, instead relying on a 2.7-inch LCD display with 230,000 dots of resolution, roughly equivalent to a 320 x 240 pixel array, with each pixel comprising separate red, green, and blue colored dots. The Fujifilm T200 includes face detection capability able to locate and track up to ten faces in a scene. Going a step further, it can also be programmed to recognize the faces of eight specific individuals, who can then be prioritized automatically when recognized in a scene. It also includes both smile and blink detection capability, automatic red-eye removal, and a motion panorama mode that stitches up to three separate shots into a single image. • 10x Fujinon Zoom Lens with Wide Angle

The Fujifilm Finepix T200 packs in a 10x zoom lens while still being only 28mm thick when closed. The lens covers an equivalent focal length range of 28-280mm, including both wide angle and long telephoto perspectives.

• Image Modes

The Finepix T200 includes Fujifilm’s Scene Recognition Auto mode (SR Auto). This automatically chooses the most appropriate scene type from 6 possible choices. Also includes Face Detection (for up to 10 faces) and Smile & Shoot Mode plus Face Recognition for up to 8 people. There are also 15 traditional scene-based modes for extra creative control.

• HD Movies and Stills

The Finepix T 200 can record 720p HD movies with zoom during recording; and also has the ability to play back still images in Full HD quality, using an optional HDP-L1 HD player.

• Image Stabilisation

The Finepix T200 features CCD shift image stabilisation which actually compensates for camera shake by physically correcting the movement of the image sensor. This, coupled with up to ISO 3200 sensitivity (1600 at full resolution), you can shoot with confidence at long zoom settings or in low light.
