The UpClose G2 20x50 Porro Binocular from Celestron has a traditional Porro design with BAK7 glass and multi-coated optics; creating a viewing experience of clarity and high contrast. The combination of the 50 mm objective size with 20x magnification delivers the largest binocular size that can be hand-held without too much shaking and without a mount. Of course a 50 millimeter objective has enough light transmission to be used successfully in low light conditions and the high 20x brings in the details of distant objects. This is a good size binocular for scanning the night sky for celestial observation. Rubber covered aluminum with indented thumb holds and finger ridges provide a protective non-slip grip and added protection for the housing and optics. Coupled with a wide-angle FOV, this binocular produces an all around scope for sports events, hunting, nature walks, astronomy or just visually inhaling outdoor panoramic vistas.
