Broncolor Para 133 Reflector D Kit with Kobold Daylight Adapter
With the Para 133 Reflector D Kit from Broncolor, you get everything you'll need to use this unique light source with your Kobold Daylight DW200 (200W) or DW400 (400W) HMI flash head. The kit is built around the Para 133 reflector with a 30" diameter, and bundles it with the focusing system, tilt head with crank, and D adapter for a Kobold Daylight head.
What makes the Para unique is the system's ability to focus or defocus the rear-firing light head via a central column. Focusing the beam by moving the head away from the reflector's center gives you a hard, highly directional output, somewhat like a large spot. Defocusing the beam by moving it toward the apex of the parabolic reflector allows the segmented Para to fracture the light into 24 smaller sources that soften the output while maintaining a crisp textural quality.
The Para 133 may be also used without the focusing unit as a reflector only. With only two quick hand movements on four straining levers, the unit is set up and ready to go in a few seconds. It's also easily portable, making it a great choice for outdoor shoots, small studios, and travel photography. An optional rolling stand, grid, and set of front diffusers are available.
