Helped a customer to get a LV bag in Japan recently. Bought from a reliable shop at quite a premier price (though might still be cheap to some).
I did not buy from a LV store, as this bag is of so very high demand that most LV stores in Japan have run out of stock. Instead, I ordered from a big bag seller in Japan.
When receiving the bag, to my surprise there is NO BOX or any label showing if the bag is genuine or fake. I have a hard time telling, as I have not bought a LV bag before (my wife and I are no an of LV). However, I must admit that the bag looks very nice, very neat stitches and very simple and clean design.
Here are some photos to share (as there will be many pirates selling this bag in the internet, so I better watermarked my photos below):

As of today, China has won 43 Gold Medals in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Creating a history high score. Followed by USA which has 26 Golds so far. It is very likely that China is going to be the Grand Champion this time…crowning as the world best athletes/sports country.
Malaysia? We have one Silver won by LEE Chong Wei, and I believe that is the only medal that we will bring back from this 2008 Beijing Olympic. Well done, Lee!

Chinese name can be confusing to many…especially those from the west.
My full name is Koh Kho King, many got confused which is my family name. Is it Koh or King? Those from the West often called me Mr. King, and I got my first paper published with my name wrongly written as K. K. King.
I just got my second technical paper proof read (already accepted last year). Again there is a mistake in the name…so this time I did some search online and found the more appropriate way of writing Chinese name. Hence I amended this to my 2nd paper, as definitely need to get my family name and first name correct.
Here’s how a Chinese should identify their names:
Kho-King KOH
Yes, put a hyphen in between the two sounds of your first name, and write your family name in CAPITAL LETTER. You can now be sure that people will know your family name correctly.

Petrol has reached historical high price worldwide. This is not just a Malaysia problem but worldwide problem. In Japan, Petrol price has reached JPY167 (RM5.34) per litre for regular fuel. Fuel price in Singapore has also reached new high price. So, in reality our petrol price in Malaysia is still considered as cheap…though not exactly very cheap to many especially with such a great increase overnight (though already speculated for many months).
Tomorrow newspapers sure will have this Petrol increases in their front page news…soon we will see public transportation increasing their fare…courier company increasing their postage rate…food price increases (already)…

My brother in law asked about this shoe today…I thought it is kinda interesting and nice. Seems pretty cheap at ebay, less thanUS$100, while it is selling at over US$300 in Japan!
Descriptions
Nike celebrates Finish Line’s 25th Anniversary with an exclusive collection like no other. Inspired by athletic achivement and iconic moments of the last few decades, they’ve blended performance with style, unique materials and color together with stories that have shaped both companies times. Each shoe in this exclusive collection is about dreams becoming reality and athletes becoming heroes. Charles Barkley and his team dominated the court in Nike Air Force 180 shoes to become legends. Draped in red, white, blue and gold, this premium hoops shoe is about to conquer the court fo a second time.
Shipping from USA to Japan is a hefty US$40 charged by the ebay seller…more than 50% of the selling price…hmm…total will be around US$120…hmm…I don’t wear sport shoe actually. Need to think again…and again…and again…
Price? EUR 3220 (RM15k). Rolex definitely has a better resale value than this Casio watch…and once you wear (scratched) it…say bye bye to at least half the $$$ of what you originally paid. Ok, I know you do not intend to buy and sell later…you are rich…
Good news? Yes, this watch is available worldwide, not just in Japan. So you can ask your local Casio distributor now if you intended to get one. 200pcs worldwide…hmm…

Thank God…my first paper submitted to Journal of Marine Science and Technology has been accepted. It went through two revisions, first one was tough but 2nd revision is a short one. God is good, all the time. He provided me enough grace to finish the paper. My first paper was submitted in Jan 2007, it actually went missing with editor, so new editor was assigned in July and new reviewers were assigned as well. Basically it took around 4-5 months to get the first feedback or revision. Actual publication date of my first paper is unknown yet, but confirmation of acceptance has been received.
I have submitted my 2nd paper in July 2007 (then only I found out that my first paper has missing editor). I got the reply or correction/feedback two weeks later than my first paper in end of Nov. So the review process is pretty fast actually. I have just submitted my revision and hopefully will hear from them soon in two weeks time.
JMST is an international journal from UK. They have very high standard/requirement of quality paper. It is not easy to get paper published there, but once published, it means your research/paper is of good quality. This is also an assurance to your research which will get good recognition from others.
JMST uses online submission for paper nowadays, which can be found at:
People there are very friendly, just drop them an inquiry if you have any. I hope to be able to get my 2nd paper published there, and hope to submit more quality paper to this journal in future. Even if you did not manage to get your paper published, the reviewing process definitely still help you to become a better writer and better researchers with very useful comments and feedbacks from the knowledgeable reviewers and editors.
Internet banking user is growing furiously nowadays. With more and more people going online, people tend to love settle things online rather than having to queue in the counter.
Yeah…the first and most popular internet banking site is “too busy” today…
It is quite frustrated when you want to get something done but couldn’t due to the site busy message. They should have upgrade their system always before it reaches its limit (eg. Ebay is one of the company that consistently upgrade their hardware making sure that there is no time-out or can’t keep up with demand failure).
Tried and tried the site above…after half an hour still the same. In fact, I find maybank2u.com.my is very slow nowadays…but the good thing is that Bank Negara has stated the rules that there must be no charge for internet banking service. You can transfer money to others without having to pay any service fee. This is good. However, with the increase popularity of internet banking, it is only a matter of time before the free service will be charged.
The success of internet banking is also mainly due to the wider coverage of internet and the “slightly faster” internet connection nowadays in Malaysia (highest is 2MB for household users but many still complaint that the speed of 2MB/s package is no different than the slower package…). Though still consider as “snail speed” when compare to oversea neighbours (Japan is using 100MB fibre optic now and the basic/slowest is 8MB/s Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) broadband, while Singapore is offering 10MB ADSL line now), at least we are growing and it is good that some companies (Maxis, Digi…etc.) are now offering wireless broadband internet service. Landline service is monopoly by TMNET/Streamyx, so hopefully there are some more players in the wireless ISPs so that we as consumers can benefit more and also encourage healthy competition among providers to facilitates the internet technology grow and coverage in Malaysia.
With this…I hope more people will shop online at ShaShinKi.com too!

KWSP stands for Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja. Which is the government body that managed the money for workers that can only be withdrew after retired (age of 55). Certain part of the KWSP saving can be withdraw before the age of 55 (eg. for house loan, computer purchase (no longer available), medical expenses…etc.).
Do you know how much your KWSP is?
Quite a lot actually. Every month, both employee and employer have to pay a good amount of money from the basic salary to KWSP. It is illegal if your boss did not do that.
Monthly
Employee = 11%
Employer = 12%
Total = 23%
This means that every month you are saving at 23% from your basic salary with KWSP. If your basic salary is RM2000, you are saving RM460 monthly. Every year, you are saving RM5520. With 5% annual interest (most of the time is higher, vary depends on KWSP investment performance) given by KWSP, you have around RM5796 saving per year. Work for 10 years, you have RM57960 at least in your KWSP account.
Say if you started working at the age of 25 (university graduate), average RM3000 salary, retired at age 55, total working period = 30 years, you then got RM260k at least with KWSP. You can take out the money in one big lump sum and enjoy your life…but do remember…RM100 nowadays is probably only worth like RM10 after 30 years, so spend wisely.

Mr. A: We got it FREE! We bought some fighter planes and the nice Russian gives us a FREE trip to space.
Mr. B: Ok…good luck.
Mr. A: Thanks. Malaysia Boleh!

Megumi went for BCG Vacine injection yesterday. In Japan, their BCG injection “symbol” is very unique. There are MANY holes. Not just one…but many! I did not count…but I think is around 9 x 2 holes. Yes, it is like stamping. Two stamps with many needles (9 each I think). Doctor put “something” on the needles and then PRESS HARD onto Megumi’s left hand.
Very painful for sure, she was crying hard with tears wet all over her face… :’(
