Megumi’s Birthday on 14th June 2010.

Bought a cake from Secret Recipe, I think they make the best cake.

Got some toys for my baby…haha…she got one few weeks ago at her neighbour’s birthday party, but got tear off soon after. So I decided to get one for her too for her own birthday.

Finally…a kid drawing board! Fisher Price, good quality safe toy for kids.

She is now playing with her drawing board daily. I think it is a nice gift for kid of 3 years old (I did bought one before in her 1 or 2 years old birthday…but not sure where it is now).

Where were I in the last few weeks? China for 10 DAYS.

Depart from KLIA, we took our breakfast at Eden. Very nice food there.

Yes, this is the plane that I boarded, flying over 2300km to Kwang Zhou (广州), China.

It was a big family trip, with over 15 members including these 3 kids…

At Kwang Zhou, we stayed at Holiday Inn Shi Fu, quite a nice hotel at rate of around RMB5xx per day.

Megumi cried later when we moved to Nang Chang (南昌) cheaper hotel (RMB3xx). The bed and pillow at Holiday Inn is really comfortable…

Happy Mother’s Day to my wife from Megumi…

(The carnation was made by Megumi in her childcare school last Friday.)

Today’s sermon in church talked about the love of mother and the love of God. Mother’s love is unconditioned. Mother never think of the repay from her children when she delivered her love. She sacrifies her time, money, body…etc. for her children, just hoping them to grow well and grow good. Of course mother might sometime hope for her children to repay her goodwill, but that’s not the reason for her to deliver her love.

God’s love is unconditioned as well. However, there is a qualitative difference between mother’s love and God’s love. A mother loves her children, because they are her children. The love from a mother to her own child and other’s child is definitely different. It will be hard for a mother to love other’s child as much as her own child. This is not in God’s case. God loves us, while we are still a sinner, God already loves us. God’s love us so much that He sacrified Himself to save us. Die for your friend, for family, there might be. Die for your enemy, that’s God’s love.

Thank God for given us a mother. Thank God for the love of our mother. Thank God we can be a mother. Thank God for the love, as God is love.

 It has 180 degree of view and 13.5cm closest focusing distance! My wife was shouting why go so close to her!

Megumi was just very curious about it and tried to touch the lens and grab it!

To balance out the family feel…I sacrificed myself to be the subject as well…

It was on Saturday…we have a great time.

I still prefer the traditional tang lung than the now battery powered type. But of course need to watch out for the candle / fire, cannot let children play by themselves and must watch out for the candles and matches.

A Christian Bookstore Ship – MV Doulos

Parked at Pasir Gudang port from 25th September 2009 till 06 October 2009 if I am not mistaken. We took the chance to visit there yesterday. I used to work as a volunteer onboard many years ago…miss the time there and it is good to see her sailing here again. (ship is always called “her” and not “he”…)

We make a visit there yesterday (Saturday – 3rd Oct 2009).

Hmm…time for me to keep fit…can see the stomach coming out… (or should I blame that shirt?!)

Foong’s sister is with us as well. In fact, it was her idea of visiting Doulos.

Entrance into the Bookstore onboard can see many children books at reasonable or rather low price! They use unit system. 100 unit = RM8.00. This is for them to convert to different currency when they sailed to different country.

Of course, Bible is being sold online as well.

Different religion people also visited there…

and various races too!

I saw some Singaporeans making their trip across the bridge to visit as well!

Took an hour to drive back…quite jam, but of course is a nice and worthy trip.

Some food as prepared by my wife. Jagung (corn) is very sweet, one of the best food among all. The front meal with white snow is sagu with coconut actually, very nice desert.

Bought low smoke coal (as according to the seller) at RM8.00 per pack of not sure how many kg. Definitely enough for the night lah…

Fire is ready…where is the food?!

Man’s job for the fire / BBQ part (Fu Yong is at the back)..while lady setting up the table. Megumi was getting ready too…can you see the big cup on their baby chair already?!

Not a overly full dinner (for me lah…I drank a lot of O-cha (red tea)). I think we have a nice night…good to have gathering with friends from time to time.

My sister from UK bought this skirt for Megumi, very nice colour but size is quite big. Still can wear as Megumi is quite tall, and can wear again in future. Better than too small / can’t fit.

Bought some roses last weekend, only planted one…still have another 4 waiting. My wife loves roses.

Alvin visited me two days ago, so we have some time in the yard shooting some flowers, testing his new toy…Sigma OS HSM 18-250mm lens. Quite a nice lens! Very close focusing distance and fast focusing speed (with HSM for Nikon mount!).

Ok…here are my roses…

No matter how pretty those roses are, they still can’t compete to my precious…

Yesterday…or few hours ago we celebrate our mother in law’s birthday. This is the 2nd birthday celebrations in my new house…the first one is my mother, and the second one is my mother in law’s birthday.

I went to bought a cake after work…a happy surprise to them I hope. Though I knew they do not like to eat cake, but I think it still means a lot when blowing candle and cutting cake during birthday, as an official celebration. The night before we have actually already went out for celebration dinner, but no cake or a pandan chifon cake made by my wife, but no candle and not so official…hahaa…lots of excuses…

Anyhow…here’s some photos to share.

Megumi can’t wait…in fact she has been very curious and excited when I brought the cake home. Yeah, she is holding the chifon cake made by my wife.

06 August 2009, we celebrate the night before.

Bought a cake, got many candles but the small cake can’t occupy all…so we put only 1 big one down.

May God saves my mum and be with all of us all the time. In Jesus name I prayed, amen.

I asked my sister to help me buy 3 clocks for my house…trusting her taste, and yes I am very pleased with the choices.

Living Room (on the wall next to the door bell)

Kitchen (very similar to the wall tiles of my kitchen, match the color and design.)

Master bedroom (no wall to hang, so put it on a triangle stand temporary).

All Seiko brand, and I have confidence in Seiko brand.

She loves to play in the grass ground…watering and finding inserts hidden in the grass…

I wonder what was on her mind…

The printing quality is perfect. Simple frame as I do not want the frame to overshadow the photo itself.

The photo was taken in Japan, during sakura viewing season.

On the right is my main door entrance. Top has 3 spotlights shinning to the photo. The wall in the direct end will have a shoe rack there later (already half built, will be completed this week…the designer and maker have delayed and delayed for me…).

Cost of printing and framing = RM170.00. Size 24R. Yes, it is HUGE!
