This is one of the Japanese praise songs that I love most.
I would like to dedicate this song to Maachan (Ward Martin), our beloved brother in Christ, a British who speaks very well mandarin, a kind loving brother in Christ, a young evangelist sending by God to witness God in Asia…..

A very good story I received today from my sister, not sure who is the original author, do feel free to forward or send it to your friends.
A GROCERY LIST…
Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store. She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries. She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food.
John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once.
Visualizing the family needs, she said: ‘Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.’
John told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store.
Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two. The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family. The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, ‘Do you have a grocery list?’
Louise replied, ‘Yes sir.’ ‘O.K’ he said, ‘put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries.’
Louise, hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.
The eyes of the grocer and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down.
The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, ‘I can’t believe it.’
The customer smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more.
The grocer stood there in utter disgust. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with greater amazement.
It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer, which said:
‘Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands.‘
The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and stood in stunned silence.
Louise thanked him and left the store.
The other customer handed a fifty-dollar bill to the grocer and said;
‘It was worth every penny of it. Only God Knows how much a prayer weighs.’
THE POWER OF PRAYER: When you receive this, say a prayer. That’s all you have to do.Just stop right now, and say a prayer of thanks for your own good fortune. Then please send this to all your friends and relatives.I believe if you will send this testimony out with prayer in faith, you will receive what you need God to do in your and your families’ life .So dear heart, trust God to heal the sick, provide food for the hungry, clothes and shelter for those that don’t have as we do.
Amen & Amen

We went to Easter Sunday service today (Megumi Kyokai, Saijyo, Hiroshima, Japan) on 23rd March 2008.
(My church in Japan - I took this photo a on 16th February 2008)
Kato sensei preached about Jesus’s tomb being guarded after he was died. Chief Priests and the Pharisees uses many methods to make sure that nobody was able to steal away the body…as they remember that wen Jesus was alive, the preached about resurrected from death after three days. They do not want to Jesus body to be stolen away by his disciples and created more deception. They still do not believe in man resurrected from death.
Bible verse that we study in church today was:
Matthew 27:62-66
62The next day, the one after Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate. 63“Sir,” they said, “we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’ 64So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first.”
65“Take a guard,” Pilate answered. “Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.” 66So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.
The guards have used many method to ensure that Jesus body will not be stolen away.
With such tight security, nobody will be able to steal way Jesus body, yet when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb, Jesus is not there anymore and there were as violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.
Matthew 28
1After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
Jesus is alive! His resurrection is undeniable.
Our heart is like a grave…sealed with many earthy things…eg. money, luxury, greediness, hatred, internet, lust…etc. Nobody can open up our heart, except Jesus Christ.
We did not seek God, but God comes to us and lead us to Him.
We deserve no mercy, but God comes to us and give mercy on us.
We deserve to die, but God comes to us, die for us and give us eternal life.
How do I know Jesus is alive? I know because He lives within myself today!
Emmanuel…Hallelujah, amen!

I saw many people using this phrase nowadays…
“I am who I am”
Do you know where is the origin of this phrase?
Who is the first or only qualified person for this phrase?
English lesson… ![]()
“I am who I am”
… are you still who are you like yesterday? Or seconds ago? Or last year?
In English, we see there are past tense, present tense and future tense. Why? Because we human are bounded by time. We are no longer the same we seconds ago. We changed, all the time.
So…can you guess who is the only one that qualified for the above phrase?
Yes, God. The almighty God and created heaven and earth, and created sky and land, that created time and not bounded by time.
Yes, this phrase first appear in the Bible, in Exodus 3:14, when Moses asked God’s name.
Original phrase = “I am that I am”
King James Version
Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
——-
Only God has the right to use that phrase, so next time if you want to write who you are again…think about the powerful or true meaning of the phrase. ![]()

Many people seems to like using X’mas or xmas or Xmas in replacing Christmas nowadays. This is really sad and really WRONG!
How can one replace Christ with x / X? Sometimes we as Christians don’t even realize this ourselves, due to the laziness in typing especially using handphone to send sms or text message. However, some words are just not replaceable.
In future, if you greet someone…please make sure you type Christmas not any other simplier word. Without Christ, Christmas is meaningless.

In a few minutes time…it will be Christmas day!
Christmas is not a celebration for santa clause, not a celebration of receiving presents, not a celebration of holiday…Christmas is a remembrance of the birthday of Jesus Christ, son of God who came to earth 2000 years ago to complete the plan of God.
Christ was born, as promised by God to the Israel people. Not just Israel people, but also a savior was born for all the people who believe in God.
Christ was born, not in the glorious place, no in palace, not in the softest bed.
Christ was born, in a manger. Closest to man, to earth, to the poorest, to those who need him most.
Christ was born, not for the saints, not for the good man, not for the rich, not for the rulers, but for those who admit sinners.
Christ was born, from heaven to earth, from the highest to the lowest, from the richest to the poorest.
Christ was born, a savior was born, a king was born, God came in fresh on earth.
Christ was born, for you, for me, for us.
Does Christmas means anything other than holiday to you? You can make Christmas a meaningful day…if you have Christ in you. Having Christ be your Savior, your Lord, your King, your God. Make every Christmas a celebration of Christ Jesus, his birthday for you, not for me or others, but you.
Merry Christmas,
Christ was born!

Just spent some time for the Christmas logo design of ShaShinKi.com. Not the greatest, but at least meaningful to me.
This logo will be available both at ShaShinKi.com front page and in shop.

Today (Sunday - 11 November 2007) we have a Children Blessing Service in our church. All children of Primary 6 and below are going on stage to get blessed/prayer by the pastor. This is done after the message preaching by our Pastor with Bible verses below:
Mark 10:13-16 (King James Version)
10:13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
10:15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
10:16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
Here’s some photos of Megumi and Mum (Lydia) and Pastor Kato to share:

今天,我和诺诺”一起”读 箴言6章1~19节 . 当中有诺诺她爸爸喜爱的经文. 特别是看到懒惰人时,她爸爸就会提起这段经文:
懒 惰 人 哪 , 你 去 察 看 蚂 蚁 的 动 作 , 就 可 得 智 慧 。(6:6)
Go to the ant, you hater of work; give thought to her ways and be wise:
懒 惰 人 哪 , 你 要 睡 到 几 时呢 ? 你 何 时 睡 醒 呢 ?再 睡 片 时, 打 盹片 时 , 抱 着 手 躺 卧 片 时 ,你 的 贫 穷 就 必 如 强 盗 速来 , 你 的 缺 乏 仿 佛 拿 兵 器 的 人来 到。(10~11).
How long will you be sleeping, O hater of work? when will you get up from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little rest, a little folding of the hands in sleep:
Then loss will come on you like an outlaw, and your need like an armed man

Autumn is always the harvest season in Japan. Japanese rice is what Japanese are very proud of. You can see paddy field always everywhere. No need big space, even a small field of around 3 card parking area you can see people growing paddy on it. Japanese has sufficient rice to provide within the country for consumption, the only food that do not need import from oversea, and can even export!
Here are some photos of the paddy field taken next to my church. Already been harvested a week later after I took the photos.
Japanese people are just like the riped paddy…who are going to harvest?…

Today marks the exact two years I am in Japan. I arrived in Japan on 4th Oct 2005, together with my wife.
Today, God has blessed me with Megumi and my wife is still here by my side to take care of me and our whole family.
God’s grace has been overflowed…we have nothing less, more than enough than what we have ever imagine. God has blessed us in my study, my family, my business, my friends, my brothers and sisters.
Life in Japan is like a dream…soon I will be leaving…soon I might come back again…God’s grace and guidance is always the best. I just want to say…
Thank you, Lord!

This might be the last time I am seeing my beloved pastor - Hayashi sensei - in Japan. Today went to church at 8am to help moving house. Though I do not know him well, but his messages in church and his family and Megumi church have been a big blessing to me and my wife in Japan.
Pastor Hayashi has been serving in Megumi church for more than 10 years. Many people cried during his last service on 25th March 2007, I was in Scotland during that time but my wife called me about the church service. I am glad that I can meet him again today.
To Hayashi sensei, wherever you go, may God bless you and your family and be with you all always!
