A Sarawakin born in 1977.
Moved to Johor in Year 1995 to pursue his bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering (Marine Technology) in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). First job as a Research Officer in Marine Technology Centre in UTM, overseeing the research and commercial projects in the centre. Further his Master Degree study in 2001 in the same university, and became a lecturer in UTM in Year 2003. Awarded with Monbukagakusho scholarship (Japanese government scholarship) to further study his PhD in Hiroshima University under Social and Environmental Engineering (Ship Maneuvering) in Japan in Year 2005, graduated and returned back to Malaysia in Year 2008. Served as a senior lecturer in UTM till year 2017.
Married with two lovely kids. Bought his first camera in Year 2000 and fall in love into the photography world.
Founded ShaShinKi.com in Year 2005, a month after arriving in Japan. A self-taught coder using open source software to puzzle ups the first online camera shop in Malaysia. Over the years, ShaShinKi.com has become the largest online camera shop in Malaysia with over 30,000 products online serving over 100,000 customers. ShaShinKi.com was the top 10 finalists in Malaysia E-Commerce Merchant Award in Year 2016.
Currently running ShaShinKi.com full time. Overlooking the technical part of ShaShinKi e-commerce website and interacting with customers at the physical store of ShaShinKi in Johor, Malaysia.

Strange… I graduated in the same year under Aero, and I know the Marine guys quite well since starting in 1994, considering our numbers are so few (in terms of Chinese ethnic)… Oh dear, perhaps I wasn’t that close to Marine after all….
