looks like benro travel angel copy. the tripod looks impressive. Does the ballhead has the friction control or is it just lock n unlock? Any product review?

Hi Michael,
Yes, quite similar to Benro but at lower price (as we are the distributor and import directly).
No friction control on the ballhead. When locked, it is quite firmed.
Jusino is very new in Malaysia, it is quite famous in China but not oversea yet as they are a relatively new company. We tested the tripod out ourselves before importing, and personally I am quite satisfied and impressed with their quality.

How does Jusino quality compared with Benro or Monfrotto?

I didn’t compare them side by side, I do feel that Manfrotto is the best and Jusino / Benro being similar.
In terms of price value, Jusino is definitely the best bang for the bucks!

I am not sure of Benro A2681 quality, and it is not so good for me to bad name another brand or model here.
All I can say is that I am confident with Jusino quality, that is why I imported it and offered it at bargain price now directly to photographers.

Dear CSJian,
The last number 3, 4 or 5 represents the number of sections.
253 means 3 sections, 254 means 4 sections and 255 means 5 sections.
Great professional quality.

Hi CSJian,
5 Sections tripod when closed is very compact a small, hence is good for traveling. I personally am using a 5 Sections tripod when I went to China few months ago.
I recommend 255 Series.

Only AX Traveler series has the 180 Degree Reverse legs.
LS is Titan series, cannot reverse 180 Deg.

May I know is the AX-255 (with 5 section legs) is as firm compared to the AX-254? I’m interested in the AX-255 (for the small folded size) but worried that it may not be as firm as the AX-254 with 4 section legs.
Please advise.

Dear Sam,
254 model is definitely MORE stable than 255 model, as the last section of leg diameter is bigger. However, 255 is more compact when stored, hence is easier to bring for traveling.

Dear Dr. Koh,
Thanks for the extremely fast response.
I presume that the AX-284 would be the most stable tripod in the AX range.
Notice from the picture that the Ballhead for the AX-284 is also different from the others and it has 2 knobs securing the Ballhead. I assume one is the ball locking knob, what does the other one do? Is it the friction control?
Thanks in advance.

Hi again Dr. Koh,
Can the tripod leg of the AX-284 be removed like the leg of the AX-254 to convert it into standable monopod?
Does the “Folded Height” stated on the product pages include the Ballhead or just the height of the tripod?
Thanks.

Hi Sam,
Yes, 284 is the most stable model in the series.
In Jusino naming, eg. AX284.
AX = Model series – Traveler
28 = Tube diameter, 28mm
4 = Section, 4 section
Two knobs in ballhead. One is tension control, one is main lock.
Leg of AX-284 is not removable/detachable.

Hi Jonathan,
Both QX and AX are similar in design, except the lock. QX is flip lock, AX is screw lock. Both are similar in stability.
I am not sure about Victory tripod. Jusino tripods that I am selling are all in the professional series / range.

If I am using a canon EOS 7D + EF 400 f/5.6 lens and attach to AX 253, is it stable enough??

Hi Jonathan,
Yes, stable enough. However, if you want better stability, then you can consider AX284 (Bigger and stronger).
AX253 can withstand the weight of your setup, but because 400mm is quite long and any small vibration will result blur photos, you will need to put your hand onto the lens to damp the vibration and hold it firm on the tripod.

Different in design. BT-02 base is different (smooth), is meant for traveller tripod that can have legs flip to above.

Hi Dr Koh
I own a Jusino BT-02 ball head but need a pan and tilt. It’s a shame Jusino doesn’t make any pan and tilt heads. Do you know if a different brand head (eg. Manfrotto 804RC2 pan & tilt) would fit the AX235 tripod (or any Jusino)??
