We decided to went rest at hotel and come again the next day morning to setup the booth.

We arrived the next day (Saturday) at 6.30pm, exhibition started at 10am, so we were quite in a rush. Thank God, everything went smoothly and we were able to setup everything within the time frame.

It is a tiring 2 days event, but it is definitely a fruitful event to be able to meet many friends and members of PhotoMalaysia, as well as many new customers and friends that only be able to get to know about ShaShinKi during this KLPF 2008!

Too tired right now, got some photos in my CF card, will post it when in a few days time.

Thank God things went smoothly, may all glory be in His name!

ShaShinKi Focus Test Chart - FREE!

Posted on October 17th, 2008 by KhoKing.
Categories: Photography.

A dedicated focus test chart - ShaShinKi Focus Test Chart - uses to check the focus accuracy of your lens and camera.

kkk_6867.JPG

I will be distributing the focus test chart to visitors that come to ShaShinKi booth at KLPF 2008 (Booth B05). Those who order items online at ShaShinKi.com will get the test chart FREE OF CHARGE as well, while stock last only. :)

For a good / correct focus lens and camera, this is what you will get:

kkk_6868.JPG

The ShaShinKi Line will be in focus and sharp. :)

To use the focus chart, it is simple. Just place the ShaShinKi Focus Test Chart on a flat table, get your camera and lens and point to the ShaShinKi Line at the middle of the chart at around 45 degrees, make the sure ShaShinKi Line is in the middle of your viewfinder, take a shot.

Notes / Common Mistakes:

  1. Do not shoot at shutter speed below 1/60s (depending on the lens you are using). This is to avoid hand shake/blur.
  2. Use a tripod if your hand is not steady enough.
  3. Use a flash if you do not have access to a tripod.

Happy Focus Testing! ;)

BlogMalaysia Statistics

Here is the visitor statistics of BlogMalaysia.com, which I think is growing consistently.

blogmalaysia-monthly.jpg

We have over 13k of unique visitors in September 2008, meaning around 400 unique visitors per day. Do not confused unique visitors with number of visits, unique visitor is much more accurate of how many unique person/individual that visit your site. :)

ShaShinKi Dedicated T-shirt and Baseball Cap!

Posted on October 11th, 2008 by KhoKing.
Categories: Photography.

Yeah! One and only in the world! Dedicated to ShaShinKi!

I have wanted a cap for a long time, and finally…I have my own cap…ShaShinKi Cap!

My first cap was gifted by my sister, a Nike cap. Sometimes, when it is too hot and shinny outside, my eyes hurt and it really helps if you were to wear a cap, to shade the sunlight from directly hitting your eyes.

Ok…back to the main purpose of this post…I want to show to the world ShaShinKi dedicated t-shirt and baseball cap! :)

Front

The design is simple, shall think of how to improve in future. :)

(In case you wonder…the model is yours truly… :P)

Going wireless - 3G - HSDPA 3.6MBs Celcom!

Posted on October 10th, 2008 by KhoKing.
Categories: Computer / IT.

Yeah…I have went wireless today. Just subscribed to a Celcom 3G broadband plan of HSDPA package, costs RM99.00 per month and bought a USB modem at RM499.00 with one year contract with Celcom 3G.

There is a cheaper package of RM69.00 per month with 384kbs speed, which I have seriously considered. There is no comparison for me to try the 3.6MBs package with this 384kbs package, so I have to make a decision on the spot. With the one year contract, I must make the correct decision as there is no way for me to upgrade later if the 384kbs package is too slow for my usage. With RM30 difference monthly, or RM1.00 extra per day…I decided to go for the 3.6KBs package, as I do not want to regret later and got stuck one year with snail internet connection.

In Japan, I was using 4MBs package, the cheapest package, which has served me very well!

If one do not want to bond with the one year contract, then he/she can buy the USB modem at RM699.00, which is RM200 extra. Since there is either Maxis or Celcom in the market for me to choose, clearly I am going to use either one for the next one year…so no point for me to pay the extra RM200 for the modem just because of the contract. I have heard bad stories about Maxis, my friend recommended me Celcom, so I decided to give it a try. Not that I have many choices anyway…

My wireless 3G not yet functioning…just registered few hours ago…shall get activated tonight or tomorrow, then I will be able to test the speed, hopefully not too bad. :P

Just bought a car yesterday…Perodua Myvi

Posted on October 4th, 2008 by KhoKing.
Categories: Family.

Yeah…just bought a car yesterday…a Perodua Myvi!

Am I happy with it? Am I satisfied with the purchase? Any regret?

This is the colour of the Myvi that I have ordered:

myvi-medalliongrey.jpg

Colour = Medallion Grey (Metalic). Actual colour is darker than the picture shown above, which is nicer than the picture above. If I would edit the picture, the actual car is more like the below:

myvi-medalliongrey2.jpg

I want a Pearl White actually, but no stock and have to wait for a month. Pearl White is RM400 more expensive than Metalic, and Metalic is RM500 more expensive than solid colour. The only available colour (in stock) coming next week is Metallion Grey and Glittering Silver (Metalic).

I don’t like silver colour, and the Medallion Grey is actually the latest colour from Perodua and I find it very nice. My wife doesn’t like silver as well, so we decided on the Metallion Grey.

The model I bought is Myvi 1.3L EZi (Automatic 4T) - Perodua Myvi EZi Premium -1300cc Automatic. There is a Sport Edition available at RM2k extra, which I find the design of the bumper to be really UGLY. Saves the RM2k and can buy more toys for my Megumi. :D

We actually went to Toyota showroom yesterday before we went to Perodua showroom. Having a few models in mind, we want to check out the actual cars before deciding.

My 3rd day…back to Malaysia…

Posted on October 1st, 2008 by KhoKing.
Categories: Family.

Yes…I am back…after staying for nearly 3 years in Japan…I am finally back to the land of the my birth place. :)

It is glad to be back, though I still miss and like the life in Japan, but that is never my country. It is good to be back…to continue and restart the journey of my life.

So many things to do…so many plans…may God guide me and teach me…protect my family (Lydia and Megumi)…give me wisdom in doing things. In Jesus name I prayed, amen.
