Olympic Medals…20th August 2008

As of today, China has won 43 Gold Medals in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Creating a history high score. Followed by USA which has 26 Golds so far. It is very likely that China is going to be the Grand Champion this time…crowning as the world best athletes/sports country.

Here’s the link to the medal standing:

There are still 4 more days to go before closing…

Malaysia? We have one Silver won by LEE Chong Wei, and I believe that is the only medal that we will bring back from this 2008 Beijing Olympic. Well done, Lee! :)

Wimax service in Klang Valley!

Packet One Networks (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (P1) has today launched and announce the service of WIMAX to Malaysians!

p1.jpg

What so special about WIMAX? It is the high speed internet connection service that you no longer crawling but on the express lane of internet (in Malaysia standard)!

Only selected areas are with WIMAX service at the moment: KLCC, Golden Triangle, Pekeliling, Setapak, Gombak, Seri Rampai, Sentul, Pudu, selected areas in Subang Jaya, USJ 1, USJ 7 and Subang Hi‐Tech area.

Too bad, Johor not part of it yet. I do wish to have fast internet connection, especially on the wireless. I have heard horror story about Streamyx, really hope to have an alternative for high speed internet connection in Malaysia.

The fee seems very reasonable, not much different from Streamyx, however the service quality is still yet to know…

Anyhow, an alternative to Streamyx is good…the more the merrier…no monopoly please… :)
