Chinese New Year 2008 in Japan

In Chinese tradition, the day before Chinese New Year is a very important reunion for family members. Today, here in Japan my wife, Megumi and I have a good reunion here in our little home. Last year I was alone in Japan… :P

Chinese New Year 2008 – nien 30 on 6th Feb 2008.

My wife wake up early in the morning to prepare the food – big fest – for our little family. :)

Here’s some of the dishes…no, don’t ask me how to prepare…maybe Lydia can add that later… :D

    Wow SF is such a good cool. All the food look so yummy! BTW what is the thrid dish? i am actually already hungry but now even more. But have to eat whatever is in the canteen. Next year must go home to have the big feast.

    第三道菜是我们福州人團圓飯的必備年菜:酸辣海參魚鰾。
    不过只有魚鰾买不到海參。
    我自己最爱吃的则是那碟其貌不扬的阿叁奶油虾, oishikatta…

    那个的阿叁奶油虾是我自己乱乱煮的, 没有根据真正的做法。
    材料: 带壳的大虾大概500克, 洋葱切丝,奶油,食油,糖,阿叁paste 2 汤匙
    做法:
    1。 将两汤匙的食油+奶油一起加入 (不能只有奶油,会很快变焦〕
    2。油热了加1切了丝的洋葱一起炒,炒到洋葱熟了。
    3。将阿叁paste加入一起炒,稍微控制火喉不要让它焦了,如果太干可以加一点水。(或者也可先用一点水把阿叁paste调稀到没那么黏〕
    4。将虾倒入一起和材料炒均匀,调味。
    5。待虾熟了之后即可上菜。
    补充:
    1。有些人将虾和阿叁paste一起腌,放冰厨数个小时(可能那样会比较好吃〕,不像我这样分开来炒
    2。有些人没有放洋葱丝。
    3。有些人只用蚝油和糖调味, 我则用味精和少许的盐代替蚝油。我想用蚝油应该会更好吃。还有很重要,一定要下糖, 如果阿叁paste放多了的话,可以 用糖来可以补救.
    4。调味方面(比如要多酸,多甜等〕,可按自己喜欢来决定调味料的量。

    如果这道菜做出来是酸,甜且带浓浓奶油香的鲜甜虾味,那就恭喜恭喜,您成功啦。:)
