美國•二戰向廣島投原子彈

（芝加哥訊）二戰期間向日本廣島投下第一顆原子彈的美國飛行員保羅蒂貝茨，週四在美國俄亥俄州的家中去世，終年92歲。

當年駕駛“安諾拉．蓋伊”號B-29型轟炸機的蒂貝茨，在1945年8月6日早晨投下了9000磅重的原子彈“小男孩”。這是美軍首枚投到日本的原子彈，3天後，美軍再向長崎投下另一枚原子彈，促使日本投降，結束大戰。

蒂貝茨的經理人兼出版商紐豪斯告訴法新社，蒂貝茨一直都有心臟方面的毛病。

蒂貝茨不僅僅是一名飛行員，他還曾協助重新設計和測試這種搭載原子彈飛機，並負責組織和訓練投擲原子彈的人員。

廣島官員說，蒂貝茨對奉命轟炸廣島並造成嚴重死亡的結果並不懊悔。當年他向廣島投下原子彈後，估計造成14萬人死亡，還有8萬日本人後因核輻射相繼死亡。

蒂貝茨在2003年接受《哥倫布電訊報》訪問時曾說：“那是為了結束戰爭的途徑，我決定停止所有殺戮行動。”

他表示：“成千上萬的前軍人和他們的家屬都以特別感人的方式說，如果當時是以入侵日本本土的方式來結束二戰的話，他們當中的很多人都不會活到今天。”

紐豪斯披露，蒂貝茨本身瞭解不是每個人都認同他的做法，因此特別交代家人將他的遺體火化，不想在死後舉行葬禮及立碑，以免受到反戰或反核人士抗議和墓地日後遭人破壞。

Cosina new SL II series!

Cosina has just announced a new SL II series of lenses in their Voigtlander brand! Previously I thought they are too busy with Zeiss lens making, hence discontinued all the SL series of Voigtlander lenses. I was wrong and I am glad that I am wrong! :D

The first two lenses from Cosina Voigtlander SL II series are:

  • Ultron 40mm F2 SL II Aspherical (available on 17th Nov 2007)

  • Nokton 58mm F1.4 SL II (available in Dec 2007)

These are two very high demand lenses from Cosina. The 58mm was a remake of Topcor 58mm f1.4, Cosina has made this lens available few years ago in limited edition.

Now, what’s the extra great news?!

ALL SL II lenses now come with CPU that are able to communicate with the camera body! Yes, Nikon cameras will now able to talk to the lens! SL II lenses are available in Nikon AIS and Pentax KA mounts at the moment.

I hope and dream that the legendary Voigtlander 125SL F2.5 Macro lens will be made available once again soon!

More Obvious BCG Mark today

Today we went for DPT vaccine injection today for Megumi. DPT stands for three types of vaccines: Diphtheria, Pertussis & Tetanus. I shall take the photo of the mark with an Ambanman serotape tomorrow…yeah…every kid will have an ambanman sticker after injection. :D

Head up…press up…can tahan long time this time!

I tried putting Megumi in press up position again today, with a supporting pillow under her chest. To my surprise, she can tahan very long time today! I didn’t really time it, but more than 15 mins without screaming for help or having her head falling down. (click the link below for head falling down action… )
