I have no problem with the old wordpress using multi-lingua, can’t remember the exact version that is problem free now, perhaps is version 2.1.

However, since upgraded to version 2.2 and now version 2.3, I can no longer post chinese language characters. After published or saved, it will turn into ???????

This is getting annoying, and searched at wordpress said that you need to set the database to using utf8 enconding. Not sure how to do it…but I found a simple way of solution.

In config.php file, delete these two lines:

(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8′);
(‘DB_COLLATE’, ”);

save it and viola! Now chinese characters are showing perfectly!

After upgrading to wordpress 2.30 few hours ago…my WYSIWYG or TinyMCE is GONE! I can only type text and my photo/send to editor won’t work!

I thought the upgrade is easy (it is) and problem free (not so free for me…wasting more than a few hours already trying to figure out what went wrong… ).

Might need to install to whole wordpress again…crazy…
